Free, no-obligation valuation

What is your car worth?

Seven quick answers and we will call back with a firm price.

Same-day pickup

Call before 2pm and we will usually clear the vehicle the same day.

Free towing

Towing and pickup are included. There is never a fee taken off your price.

Paperwork handled

We complete the transfer and hand you a signed receipt on the spot.

Open 24/7

Phones are answered around the clock, seven days a week.

How it works

Three steps, about an hour

No haggling, no listing fees and no waiting for a buyer who never turns up.

01

Tell us about the vehicle

Call us or send the form. We need the make, model, year, rough condition and where it is parked. A photo helps but is not required.

02

Get a firm price

We quote on the spot. The number we give you on the phone is the number you are paid — we do not renegotiate at the kerb.

03

We collect and you get paid

Our tow truck comes to you at a time that suits. Payment is processed on collection and you keep a signed receipt.

What we buy

Any vehicle, any condition

Running or not, registered or not, one panel or none. If it has wheels we will make an offer on it.

Cars & sedans

Everyday hatchbacks, sedans and wagons — high kilometres and failed roadworthy are fine.

4WDs & SUVs

Landcruisers, Patrols, Pajeros and every soft-roader in between. Heavier vehicles attract better scrap value.

Trucks & utes

Light rigids, tray backs, tippers and work utes. We have crane trucks for anything that will not roll.

Vans & buses

Tradie vans, people movers and minibuses, including fleet disposals of more than one vehicle.

Accident & flood damaged

Write-offs, hail damage, engine fires and flood-affected cars the insurer would not take.

Motorbikes & scooters

Road bikes, trail bikes and scooters, complete or as a project that never got finished.

Indicative ranges only, current as at September 2026. The figure you are quoted depends on the make and model, age and kilometres, how complete the vehicle is, whether the catalytic converter and battery are still fitted, how much of it can be resold as parts, the scrap steel price on the day, and the distance we travel. Late-model, low-kilometre and in-demand vehicles can exceed the top of these ranges. Ring us on 042 4851 834 with the details and we will give you a firm number on the call.

Why people call us back

A licensed Melbourne operator, not a call centre

New Port Car Removal has been clearing vehicles across Melbourne since 2019. We are fully licensed and insured, we own our trucks, and the person who quotes you is the business — not a lead broker selling your details on.

Important: how you are paid

Since 30 May 2018 the Victorian Government has prohibited cash payments for scrap metal, including scrap vehicles. This applies to every operator in the state, not just us.

You will be paid by electronic transfer or cheque on collection. Bring photo ID and proof of ownership and the transfer goes out the same day.

Questions

Frequently asked

No. A roadworthy is only needed when a vehicle is sold to be driven on the road. We are buying the vehicle for dismantling and recycling, so no RWC is required.

Photo identification and proof that the vehicle is yours — usually the registration papers. If the registration has lapsed, bring whatever you have and we will talk you through it. We complete the transfer of ownership paperwork for you and leave you with a signed receipt.

Yes. Unregistered vehicles are most of what we collect. You will need to show you own it. If plates are still attached you should return them to VicRoads to stop any further charges.

Not a problem. We run crane trucks as well as conventional tow trucks, so vehicles that cannot roll, are missing wheels or are sitting on blocks can still be lifted out.

Yes. Pickup and towing are included, and the cost is not deducted from your quote. The figure you are quoted is the figure you receive.

Often the same day. Ring before about 2pm and we will usually get to you before the end of the day. Otherwise it is normally next day, including weekends.

Victorian law has prohibited cash payment for scrap metal since 30 May 2018. Every licensed operator in the state pays by electronic transfer or cheque. Anyone offering you cash for a scrap vehicle in Victoria is not operating lawfully.

Yes. We regularly clear multiple vehicles from farms, workshops, deceased estates and business fleets. Tell us how many and where they are and we will price the lot.
